                                                               Church History

Rev. Meek & Sister Lina Hamilton

Founded in 1978 by Rev. Meek "Mack" Hamilton (5/14/1933 - 2/25/2010) and
Evangelist Steve Jones.

Rev. Hamilton and wife Lina have had an awesome ministry over the years for the Lord. They travelled
and worked tirelessly in tent revivals, evangelism, and the
bus ministry. Rev. Hamilton pastored the
Jesus Way Church approximately 30+
years and the efforts of that ministry have not been forgotten
by the congregation
or those that have been influenced by him.

Rev. Hamilton held tent revivals in southern West Virginia and Virginia for twenty years. His tent would hold 300 people, and in the 1970's the tent would be full.

He never took a vacation and never accepted a salary from the church. Instead, he spent his vacation days in the tent ministry and knew the Lord would take care of their needs.

Many can recall the Jesus is Alive and Well radio program that the church sponsored with Rev. Hamilton going to the air-ways to compel the lost.

The church was damaged by the flood in Wyoming County, WV in 2001 destroying the bridge to the
church and the interior of the church, causing the house of God to close the doors until it was refurbished in 2002. When the doors reopened, approximately 10  church members remained
and they kept the vision of the Jesus Way Church alive, desiring for the church to be filled with saints once again.

Today, the church has 7 deacons and approximately 55+ members and continues to grow. We have
many that visit the church frequently and consider them part of the church. The church members
love to have visitors come to the services and welcomes them with open arms.

If you are seeking a home church that is focused on our Savior Jesus Christ and allowing the Holy
Ghost to move freely in the church with shouting, dancing in the spirit, speaking in tongues, and prophesy; then you will enjoy the freedom felt in our church. The church does not have programmed services. You will find awesome music, singing, preaching, and an obedience to feel the spirit of God.

We have a great vision to see growth in the church and to work for the Lord. We desire to reach
as many souls as we can before the Lord's return. If you share our vision, we invite you to come to
one of our services.
